Australian Roo-ver + MNP nanosensor platform (IM-5)

Roo-ver is Australia's first lunar rover: about 20 kg, suitcase-sized, built by the ELO 2 consortium for the Australian Space Agency.

Spec

About 20 kg. Suitcase sized.

It carries NASA Goddard's Multifunctional Nanosensor Platform. MNP is a compact Goddard sensor suite for water, hydrogen, and hydrocarbons on the surface, including lander exhaust versus distance from Nova-D.

Mission brief

On IM-5, NET about 2030, the rover goes to the south pole on Nova-D and is driven from Australia for about 14 days, taking surface images and carrying MNP.

Schematic

MNP rides on Roo-ver. The Australian Space Agency rover job is the child under this page. The rover is the mobility element and MNP is the sensor suite on it.
