Since 2019 JAXA and Toyota have been jointly developing a pressurized crewed lunar rover, nicknamed Lunar Cruiser. Toyota’s public contribution is mobility, durability, and fuel-cell technology. NASA assigned delivery of JAXA’s pressurized rover on a SpaceX Starship cargo lander no earlier than fiscal year 2032.
